Sen. Mills has a Plan for Maine
I support the nomination of Peter Mills, a Republican, for governor. He has a proven record of dealing with current problems, the ability to work with Democrats, and a real plan to address the citizens' most important concerns.
He was a leader on First Park Regional Development, the select committee that improved circuit breaker property tax relief, the Labor Committee that improved the unemployment trust fund to one of the strongest nationally, and stood up to the budget gimmick of selling 10 years of lottery revenue to spend in a single budget.
Sen. Mills has a 12-step plan that deals with problems of taxes, state debt, government accountability, health care, education and economic growth. And as a Clean Election candidate, he owes only the citizens of Maine.
